Hi to all the Medion users out there,

Well, I have gone through the range of Medion satnav units, including the PNA200 (MD95900), PNA250T (MD96800) and now have the PNA350 (MD95770).

I have used all units in both the UK and Europe, with no problems, but the integral TMC in the PNA350 is wonderful! I was attracted to this unit as I didn't really want the hassle of fumbling around with my radio tuner trying to find the correct radio signal. The unit really is 'plug and play', and once you have plugged the unit in, it immediately locates the required radio frequency for the TMC, and as you travel, automatically changes frequency as required. Adverse weather conditions do not seem to affect it, and it worked in both UK and mainland Europe.

I've seen all the problems you Mio users have with TMC, and wonder where all the fuss is coming from! Laughing There is no subscription fee with the Medion TMC, and no renewal fees neither. Smile

The maps were great too, Before I set off from Bracknell, I input my destination in the Czech Republic, with way stations set at the Chunnel and a hotel stop off east of Frankfurt, and it took me seamlessly from A to B!

I really do recommend this unit. The only downside is that you have to purchase the European mainland street level maps from Medion (or somehow obtain copies), but at £99, it was well worth it. :D

I'm glad you give it a good review. It's the model I got when I managed to exchange my awful Evesham BM6380. I'd never dare drive on the continent but it works well in the UK. I thought that sticking the suction cups on the screen was a bit of a pain and have only used the TMC facility a couple of times. I'll give it a more thorough trial when I'm next on holiday. The only problems I've had were the lack of a mains charger, which was expensive to buy, and reflection off the screen in bright sunlight. I made the mistake of installing the GoPal Navigator version of POI-Warner instead of the one for Navigator 5 but all's well now. I've fitted a writeSHIELD antiGLARE screen protector and hope to see an improvement in the Summer.
