Nuvi 660 camera updates free?

Hi,
I recently bought a Nuvi 660 from Halfords and the assistant there told me that the camera updates are free. Is this true?

I am going to keep my PocketGPSworld account, as I've given my I3 to my girlfriend and she'll need them.

If they are free, how are they updated?

you can get a 6 month(?) free trial of the garmin database for your nuvi. this is nothing to do with us though! it's managed by a company called Cyclops - feel free to do a forum search for 'cyclops' to get peoples opinions of their database...

I thought it was 3 months, but MaFt is correct - beyond that you will need to pay. However, the PGPSW database is cheaper, updated more often, and more accurate (in my opinion) and offers you more ability to control exactly how it works.

Hi,
Thanks for the responses. I already subscribe to PGPSW, and intend to keep my subscription. I've allways been happy with it on my I3 and now I can get my girlfriend to pay half!

The 660 is an amazing piece of kit. I loved my I3 for its small size and it was my first GPS, but the 660 is in a different galaxy.
