Hi all,
I just got my Medion PDA / GPS package today, but I've not had enough time to play with it yet.
These may sound like dumb questions, but here goes; What is the maximum size of SD card that it will support ?
If I add MP3 files to my new PDA to listen through in the car with a cassette adaptor for the radio, will the GPS directions cut in on my music or will my music drown out the directions ?
Finally, is there such a thing as an SD card with memory AND Wi-Fi on it, and if so do they work on the Medion ?
Thanks in anticipation.

- there is no limitation in the size of SD card
- the sounds will be played simultaneously
- no, so far nobody has come out with an SD card that has memory AND GPS (or WiFi, for that matter). Really strange... _________________ Lutz

As Lutz says there's no real limitation to the size of SD, but the current technology is at 1GB so you won't get an SD card larger than 1GB at the moment (and these are pretty expensive too!). |

Sandisk are meant to be coming up with a combined 256MB and WiFi SD card, but it seems to have been delayed.
I couldn't wait so just got the SD WiFi alone

And given Sandisk's reputation for reliability in the past would you really want to trust them with a combined memory/wifi card ? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I believe the existing SD Wi-Fi card isn't actually a Sandisk design. In fact, I think all the SD Wi-Fi cards currently available are the same thing behind the label and possibly the hardware ID.
If the combined Wi-Fi and memory SD card that Sandisk have been talking about ever comes to market, maybe it won't contain Sandisk SD memory technology - so it might work! My understanding of the SD memory problems we hear so much of in these forums is that it's down to implementation issues in Sandisk's SD memory controller. The (almost?) invariably problem free cards often use Panasonic or Toshiba SD memory controllers.
