I've finally taken the plunge and purchased and installed the new UK and Ireland map. The problem I'm having is, although I've transfered the speed camera files across, I'm not getting any spoken warnings. I know it will be something simple that I'm overlooking. Can someone out there please point me in the right direction.

I hate the new map!! Can you see any diffeence what-so-ever? I cant!!!

Haven't had the update long enough to test the new map on any long journey yet, but have noticed on local journies there are some updates to some of the road layouts compared to the old GB map. So only time will tell. I'd like to think my £33.15 outlay was well spent.

| The Maps are much improved for Ireland .... TomTom now knows mosts streets in Ireland .... about time |

The Tom Tom Newsletter I received announcing the maps (after I'd already found out here and downloaded!!) included a statement that they had "added over 7000 new roundabouts across Europe during the last six months".
I can vouch for one of them near me. Sadly, it's only a crossroads and has been an unchanged crossroads to my personal knowledge since I first started driving across it in 1975.

Is there some sort of list that highlights the changes? i feel cheated into paying money for a map which for me remains unchanged!

I was going by this info:
The YourNav Forum missing rivers thread
I agree that there are probably some roads on the new updates!  but according to them there is nowhere near as much detail of the "water features" as the old maps. |
