ok looks like the reason the light stayed on because the battery didn't recharge. I switched it on and it lasted about 2mins before going flat. :x
Is there a particular sequence to follow to get it to recharge? All I had done was plug in the lead and have the unit switched off.
Thanks. _________________ TT GO 1005 |

since last post I removed and replaced battery. put unit back on charge and roughly 4hrs later battery charge light goes out. unit now has full charge.
surely removing the battery is the way to get this unit to charge up? _________________ TT GO 1005 |

It maybe you had a dodgy pin connection on the battery, or not a clean contact and taking the battery out and replacing it resolved the problem. |

Hi
I seem to be experiencing the same problems with charging.
The orange light never goes out. After charging i power it up after a few minutes it has lost all the power.
I have removed the battery and put it back in again and retried charging, (well over 4 hours) still no joy
Can someone help? |

Starting to experience the same problem myself.
First time I charged it the orange light went out and the battery lasted about 8 hours or so.
Subsequently I have noticed that the orange light never goes out.
Now a charge over several hours only lasts a few minutes.
I have just removed the battery and reinserted so will see what happens.
How is yours behaving now jase?

Hey matt
I still have the same problem. However after charging in the car for a few hours, the light stays on for another good few hours. Maybe i need to buy a new battery.
Any change with you?

Hi Jase,
Well it seems to be working now. Haven't had a chance to test the full length of the battery life but at least I have a green light and it's lasting for at least several hours. Will report back if it misbehaves!

When switched off and charging I get the following LED combo (left to right)
Nothing, Nothing, RED
When switched on and charging I get
Nothing, RED, ORANGE
When switched on and fully chraged I get
Nothing, RED, GREEN
When switched off and and charging (at full charge) I get
Nothing, Nothing, GREEN
I like charging with the unit switched on, seems illogical
There's nothing like a good manual, and yes there's nothing like a good manual |
