Possible Memory Issue

Am I right in thinking that the memory figures in the software version screen relate to the internal memory of the device (TT ONE), and dont include the SD card?

I was under the impression that the ONE had 32Mb RAM, but mine quotes 28Mb total, with about 5.5Mb free.

Does this sound right, or could I have a duff RAM chip?

Yes your right in regards to the RAM memory, And 5.5 MB free memory is pretty normal, My TomTom 510 has 64MB RAM and only has 3.6MB free.
