extra voice from tomtom site

i am tempted to install tom's voice over instead of the original on hearing the demo........


.....wanted to know - is it possible to revert back to the original?
- the new file is big - 3mb or so - is it worth it?

You can always revert to the original voice .wav's by re-running the installation CD and selecting 'Install Voice Files'

It's simple to switch between voices, but I had one problem with the extra ones on the tom-tom-dot-com site...

The downloadable versions are at "normal" volume. The ones I had installed are "loud", since I don't patch my iPaq through anything else for sound. This meant that it didn't quite cut it in my setup.

However, they're just standard WAV files, so you could always run them through something like WaveLab to up the volume (or add a stereo delay :D ). I kept meaning to do that, but never really got around to it...
