Me too. Since installing latest version 1.0.1.3 beta it keeps saying updates are ready to install, after I've installed them. It was not doing this with the previous version and I haven't changed any other software in the interim.
Secondy, is it just me, but I cannot any longer get ANY of the previous pages of this thread to load in my browser, they just hang. I can only get into page 11. Have tried clearing my cache, but it's the same still, and it's the same using either Firefox or IE. And yet I can get any other pages of any other threads on this forum to load instantly. So has the rest of this thread somehow got corrupted?? Very strange! |

With 1.0.1.3 you'll need to use POI Loader 2.3.1 or newer - otherwise you'll get the repeated reinders, even after updating.

I think that someone's screwed up their avatar - either made it impossibly large, or a broken link to it... |

My beta has expired
Does this mean that I have to now pay to carry on using the Camera Manager? If so how do I do that? |

Hi Ash
Okay - I'm confused! I've downloaded your software but get a "camera manager idle" message. Have I done something wrong as it isn't updating my streetpiolt 2720. In fact it's doing nothing!
Any chance of a step by step guide to remove your program and re-do it all please in case I've confused the unit/software etc? |

New version 1.0.1.5 beta now available! 8)
http://tinyurl.com/nvlm4
Changes made:
1. The POI directory display has been removed from settings window - it wasn't possible to actually do anything with it, and it just seemed to confuse people.
2. The default POI directory (if an existing one isn't found) is now C:/Garmin/POI - this is created automatically if necessary. Fixes the problem for new users when POI Loader hasn't been installed or used yet.
3. Various internal tweaks ;)

Ash
Is there any reason why this just won't work with my 2720? All I get is "camera manager idle"?
Also is there a way to delete your program off my system and re-load it as maybe I did something wrong?
Cheers |

Most of the time it will sit there idle - when an update is available, it will pop-up a balloon prompt telling you to run POI Loader - if you're using Windows XP, make sure that you haven't disabled balloon prompts. |

Thanks Ash - all sorted for now I think!
Another question for you. When I use your camera manager, my 2720 downloads 2 entries for every camera! So I have now got over 22,000 cameras loaded when there are only really 10,000 'ish!
Any ideas why? When I look through my custom POIs it lists each camera twice one with a # and one without? |

One so you get a single alert at any speed to alert you to the camera regardless of speed and one so you get a alert if you continue to appraoch over the limit.
This is normal. |
