I've found a querk:
when I approach a particular roundabout from one direction, MioMap correctly instructs me to leave the roundabout at the required exit
however, when I approach the roundabout from the other direction, no exit information is given either audibly or in the roundabout icon (ie the icon looks like a mini-roundabout sign with no digit in the centre)
Has anybody else had similar experiences? |

What I would like to know is what constitutes a "roundabout exit" I hit one yesterday and it told me to take exit 5 - there are only three :-) _________________ Mio C710 on MioMap 3.3 |

I've had the exit value be wrong on several occasions, but that's down to the map and not the Mio software -- and the rate our local council adds exits onto roundabouts makes me think it'll never keep up!! 8O
One minor bugbear about roundabouts tho -- I really hate the symbol with the number... I know it's far easier to code, but I much prefer the compass type pointer which shows the exits on the roundabout and the one to take highlighted on the icon
I know that the map shows the detail, but the point of the icon is a large, clear indicator of the next move -- with just the exit number, I find myself looking at the signs as I approach the roundabout and counting the exits to work out whether its a left turn, straight ahead or right turn...
Does anyone know if this can be amended? _________________ FuzzyDuck

On my daily travel to work journey there is a roundabout with 3 "road" exits plus an exit to a row of shops. The Mio see's this as a roundabout with four exits - confused the first time it happened but make sence if you were actually looking for that row of shops.
Guess it's a judgement call by the programmers - if they counted roads and exits we complain of too many exits whilst if they counted only roads we would moan about too few. |
