Hello,
I've now got my Nuvi transmitting sound via an FM transmitter, which works a treat, but I haven't a clue the order the Nuvi plays music. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Also, is there anyway to manipulate the track order?

If you go into the Album option in the mp3 browse menu, it will play the tracks in the album order (if that information is stored within the mp3 tags). All other menu options will play the tracks in Alphabetic order.
If you have the latest Nuvi firmware (*), it should support the import of playlists, which you will have to create on your PC and transfer over manually to the Nuvi. Then you can create your own track orders.
If you don't already have the latest Nuvi firmware, please go to www.garmin.com and download the full firmware file and apply it by running that file - do not use WebUpdater to update the main unit firmware (WebUpdater is fine for the additional options such as car icons, extra voices, GTM and GPS updates).
(*) I believe this is now available for all Nuvi models.

Thanks for that tip, swing. I already updated my Nuvi via the WebUpdater, but I'll re-apply the firmware per your instruction.

If you have already applied the firmware, then don't worry - you already have the new version. However, for all future main unit upgrades, please download it manually - there still appear to be some problems with WebUpdater and when it goes wrong, it's a mess to sort out (often a return to Garmin).
Also, please remember to take a backup before making any changes like this.
