Just for the record this also works on TTN 5.0 5.1 and 5.21 on the PDA versions so its not confined to just the PNA devices - Mike

Forgive me if im being thick here but ive only just got the tomtom Rider
Ive now got the three files in the maps directory, ov2, bmp, ogg all with teh same names. Ive just changed one of the sounds so far to test it. Ive done all the associations in the rider but of course once you select the difference theres no choice of sound.......presumably it will work but how do I test it without driving to find a 30mph gatso camera

thanks folks

When you are doing the WARN WHEN NEAR POI, if it does not ask for a sound, then it is working Smile
If you get asked to pick one of the default soinds from TomTom (moo for example) then the sound files have not been found!

Try the following for setting a route demo:
Select Advanced planning (icon says AtoB)
Depart from HOME
Destination select Point of Interest/ POI near Home
Now select the Speed Camera POI category you have changed the audio for, if it is not displayed on the screen press the next page icon, from the list tap the POI category that you need.
Select the first item on the presented list, if its more than 70 miles away don't bother going any further as it probably won't work, and will take ages anyway.
At this point you have a route selected to the nearest camera Select View Route/ Show route Demo and set the speed to 100% before pressing "Done"
Sit back and see (or in this case hear) what happens - Mike

As posted previously, tried every which way you can to get this working on my Windows 2003SE Smartphone, using TT5, no joy Sad
Be interesting to see if the chap with the Nokia phone can get it working.

Saving like mad for a new PDA and TT6 Smile

Im running TTM 5.2 on a Nokia 6630, and this doesnt work for me either :-(

The files are named the same, and not with .ogg.ogg, yet in the POI Manager it still asks me which sound I want to use. Imusing the 16khz files too.

I think this doesnt work for Mobile

Are you sure you have included the underscore within the filename Idea
The filenames have to be the same.

The file names need to be exact copies including the underscore _ i.e. pocketgps_uk_specs_20.ogg deselect the pio's shut ttn down then restart and select the speed cam pio's again

Not sure if this has been done, but Just in case here is the LIZ voice ready named for the OV2 for TomTom Go Smile

I have just done this to run on my 510 and it works a treat. Simply extract the archive to your MAP folder with the OV2 SPEEDZONED COMPLETE (24 files) database!

Any questions PM me Smile

Cheers

If you download the ones I have done as above, they are renamed to match the speedzoned database, but as mentioned b4, if you already have POI's set up to audio (the old way) you will need to deselect those first Smile

Installation of new voice warnings ogg's
TTG300, 1Gb SD card, 6 .15

I have placed .ogg files for all cameras etc in the GB map folder, renamed carefully and set up POI warnings. These did not request a warning bell. Old data.chk in place.
I get a mixture of new voice warnings and bells. Mobile 30 is a bell, whilst redlight is vocal warning, as is Gatso 30 and so on.
Also checked for correct file extension.
Previous use of new renamed voice data.chk worked fine, but I would like old bells too.
Grateful for any further help.

Are you 100% sure that both the .ogg files are named correctly AND you have re-configured the warnings for ALL the cameras you have installed?

View the ogg files in Windows Explorer and make sure non have a double file type extension i.e. they should end .ogg NOT .ogg.ogg (a few people have had this problem so far), - to view the file extensions in Windows Explorer go to Tools/ Options, select the view tab then make sure the check box for "Hide extensions for known file types" is NOT checked.

The only other thought is you could have more than one set of camera POI's installed to the device, assuming you have the Speed Zoned set installed there should only be 24 .ov2 files that start with the pocketgps name, if there are more than this the POI warner could be picking up the extra files and not the ones you think you have configured - Mike
