Hi,
After loading ov2 files as per instructions (safety cameras, red light cameras etc) I find a new icon in the settings, safety alerts.
And the options are enable and a distance to report safety alert. Is this alerts for safety cameras only, seperate to the poi alert functions???

The camera alerts are separate to the POI alerts. Although the OV2 files for cameras will appear in the POI list, they will also enable the camera alert function. CP6 detects the camera version of the POI files by the simple fact that the filenames start with the text 'safetycam'.
If displaying the POI icons on the map, the camera icons will be displayed as well on the PDA version, but not on the desktop version. An annoying bug. _________________ Ian

And again thanks Ian. You also answered another question, the missing camera icons on the desktop version, yes annoying.

Since you don't need camera alerts on the desktop, you can still display the camera icons if you load the OV2/BMP files with names that don't begin with 'safetycam'. _________________ Ian

In the '\EU\Save' sub-directory of CoPilot for UK maps. _________________ Ian

An interersting little problem. I load the safetycamera ov2 and bmp file into the save folder. The copilot starts and updates the ov2's. When I look at the map, the safetycam icon is there.
However, when I load a trip or plan a trip, the safetycamera icon disappears off the map and never reappears. However, the safetycamera location is still there, just not showing an icon. The only way to have that icon back on the map, is to remove the copilot program, reload the program from the 2577 folder on the sd card and re add the safetycam ov2's again, but again, the same problem after running a trip etc.
Any idea which or what file is causing the safteycamera icon to disappear after running a trip?????
