You'll have LOADS of space then Laughing

No Kevin it is spaces for the activation code - not space on the card - thanks anyway - GOOD price!!

Nope! Although you were talking about entering the space character into the code, the OP (mancunian99) & kevinx were talking about space on the card!

I'm after a new SD card for my TT One. Is a high speed 1Gb fine and isn't it as easy as just copying the files to it? I see a lot of people are talking about formatting etc.

Kirkie,

Buy the card. Copy the files from the original. Paste them onto the new card, and all should be fine. It's always worked for me.

PS/ I have never been fussed whether it be a high speed card or not.

Cheers

Hmmm Anyone know what I am doing wrong then? New TT 510 (had it 2 weeks)

Have a 512mb Toshiba SD Card - copied from original (only 4 mb left on that!!) onto Toshiba card - insert card - fire up - GB maps require activation HOWEVER I can't as it wont let me enter spaces and a straight activation code will not work. Tried formatting card both as FAT and as FAT32 no difference. Copied from original SD card to hard drive to Toshiba, using laptop / desktop/TomTom in other words ALL possible combinations and variants and ALL ways I can think of copying. So it must be the card!!

Ordered NEW 1Gb SD card from MobyMemory - nope EXACTLY the same thing ..... drawer getting full of SD cards and original SD card getting FULL ...

Any ideas? Crying or Very sad

Maybe too many .mac files on your copy.

You need to find, download & run the .exe fix on BOTH cards.

There is a link somewhere on this forum but don't remember where.

I got a great 2GB Datawrite SD Card from here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Datawrite-DATAWRI134-2GB-SD-Card/dp/B000H627ZI/sr=8-8/qid=1159396743/ref=pd_ka_8/026-7429924-7138852?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
It doesn't tell you the specs on Amazon but it's an highspeed card and works great in my TomTom 510. You can find the specs here http://www.datawrite.co.uk/pdf/datawrite_memory_cards.pdf
And it's only £19.50 delivered!
