I have a GO Classic and recently had App 6.150 installed.
I have also tried to install the real voice warning prompts from the tomtomsatnav.info site by downloading the Andy Siddell voice and using the data.chk file inside the andyv6_14 zip.
Unfortunately this causes my TTGO to hang after the "this device belongs to" screen. Very frustrating as I have had to go back to the beeps and bells in the original data.chk file.
Anyone else having prblems getting Ray's real voice warnings to work on a Classic with 6.15 installed?
Anyone able to give me advice on how to get them to work?
They worked briliantly with App5.4 and I understand about installing the data.chk into the TTGO root folder and renaming the original data.chk file.

Yes I have done that.
I've renamed the original data.chk file as dataBAK.chk and installed the new data.chk file in its place on my TTG Classic. I do this through Windows Explorer and not via TTHome. I then disconnect my TT and it reboots (I have installed the real voice warnings before when there have been minor software upgrades and never had any problems)
After rebooting, the TT splash screen appears, then the "this device belongs to" screen appears. TT then says "writing route information 72%" I then hit CONTINUE and TT hangs. After a few minutes it reboots again automatically, the splash screen re-appears and it then repeats this cycle endlessly. I have watched TT do this cycle 10 times before I gave up and reinstalled the original data.chk file and no real voice warning prompts 
When I delete the new data.chk and rename my old data.chk file TT works perfectly so my hardware is OK.
Has anyone got the Real Voice Warnings v6_14 from tomtomsatnav.info to work with their Classic with App 6.15  |

How much Free Memory do you have on your SD Card?
The only time I've heard the 72% mentioned was when the Free Memory was restricted. There needs to be at least 2MB. Only thing I can think of.

I 'm still unable to get the real voice warnings to work as the data.chk seems to make my TTG Classic stop working.
Has anyone any suggestions? |

Also are you updating the voice directions or the speed camera warnings?
If it's the voice directions (which I believe Andy Siddell is), the data.chk file needs to go into a different folder to the speed camera data.chk file.

Thanks for all your assistance on the forum.
I have just noticed that Ray has added a 6_15 voice file update on his website and I have successfully got this to work woth my TTGO Classic. |
