I have a horrible feeling that I know the answer to this, but here goes anyway.....
After months of resistance I finally decided to upgrade my hx4700 to Windows Mobile 5 yesterday to make sure it would be compatible with any future software. Ever since I've been trying to re-install my copy of TomTom Navigator version 3 without success. The installation CD just crashes with an error message, and while trying to install it direct onto the hx4700 using the cab files seemed to work, the software won't actually run.
I have a feeling that someone is going to tell me that TT3 won't run at all on WM5. I really don't want to have to upgrade to TT5 as I was far from impressed after looking at a friends demo of it, and don't really want to spend £100+ squid on something I don't really want _________________ HP iPAQ hx4700 (1.00.09 ENG), TomTom Navigator 3, Seidio G2500 Mount, Franson GpsGate v1.10c, GPSdash2, Anquet Digital Maps
Yes it's no I'm afraid; TT3 won't run on WM5. I tried in May when my PPC was stolen and had a replacement IPAQ which ran WM5. I was trying to get the TT3 version of the Today launch icon as I prefer it to the TT5 version and it wouldn't work at all - exactly the same issue as you have. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Pants. Oh well, thanks for the info anyway. Looks like I'm going to spend the rest of the evening downgrading to the old version of Windows mobile. _________________ HP iPAQ hx4700 (1.00.09 ENG), TomTom Navigator 3, Seidio G2500 Mount, Franson GpsGate v1.10c, GPSdash2, Anquet Digital Maps
