I am buying a Tom Tom RIDER for my bike and want to know how to hear the spoken instructions when I transfer it to my car.

At present I use a Plantronics Voyager 510 handsfree to use my mobile phone. Can I get the RIDER to "pair" with the 510 when I use it in the car?

If not, what handsfree system should I get? One of the posts mentioned A2DP compatible but that relates to stereo playback and none of the handsfree systems are listed with that feature.

There must be some solution as otherwise using the RIDER in a car would be for visuals only - the information on the Tom Tom web site doesn't give any details about this.
TIA

You can use the supplied BT Headset with the earbud speaker. Myself and Tim Buxton have had success using a small Welltech branded BT handsfree speaker from Lidl which clips to the sunvisor so third party units do work but a concise list of which ones do and which don't isn't available.

The BT headset and speaker that is supplied with the RIDER is supposed to be pretty good, isn't it? I hadn't really seen many complaints.

I have a good headset and don't want to use the in-ear system that comes with TomTom Rider. I am surprised this seems to be such a problem for TomTom. It's a fairly straightforward feature to be able to connect a different BT device - apparently not for TomTom :-(

I'm buying it anyway and will try it out with the Plantronics handsfree and post the results for all.
