However - i run linux - and just want to download update and then transfer it to my laptop to run installer on tomtom.
However - i need tomtom home? This does not run on linux.
Ahaha... Connect laptop to web - no can do - Laptop is locked to a work network - and unable to connect it to home network....
Any ideas? |

how is your laptop locked to the work network ?
is it a fixed IP address ?
I'm sure it would be possible to configure a LAN port on your Linux box to pretend to be the company network. You might have to put a DHCP server on it, I don't know.
Then use iptables masquerade to NAT your pretend company network onto the Internet. |

The laptop is attached to a workgroup, last time i p[layed around with this, i ended up removing it (accidentally) from the workgroup, and a whole shi*t storm came my way - had to send it off to get reconfigured.
I'll have a play with it later (oooer) but it's a bit silly of tomtom to not allow you to download updates as before... Or am i missing something? Is it a security feature - in case tomtom gets robbed? |
