When I connect my tomtom go700 via usb to my PC it no longer shows up. The screen remains blank on the tomtom. If I turn the tomtom on it makes to difference. the battery in the tom tom is fully charged.
Any help please. |

Does the TT come on normally?
If Yes, check that the USB lead is firmly plugged in both ends.
Have you tried another USB lead? Also the TT has to be on anyway when connected to the PC. _________________ Richard

Same problem here with TT Go 700. Updated using the Home program from TomTom Site this morning to the new version 6.140. All works ok but 700 will not connect to PC. Connect as normal and switch on - mapping comes up and the PC says no connection.
On one occasion a screen came up on the 700 and asked if I wished to connect to the PC. On hitting the YES button it connected - but not since.
Any answers anyone. Seems to be as a result of the upgrade. |

Have you tried a Reset? Pin-in-the-hole. Hold it in for a few seconds. _________________ Richard

tried the pin once made no difference, using usb on computer no hubs. not sure if i need to use the pin over & over till it works but scared it might damage the tomtom. anyone had results this way. I have emailed tomtom awaiting to see if i get any reply.
any other tips in the meantime would be helpful
[tried connecting to the pc first then turning on the pc to see if it would get detected = it corrupted the pc bios had to clear the cmos for a restart of pc. ] |

the new update pauses longer than expected on the flash screen. after waiting a minute or so the option comes up asking to connect to a computer. |
