I updated my ICN 530 a couple of weeks ago with these sound files (and whatever else PATCHER80.EXE adds).
Now, for some reason, every time I boot up SmartST it wants to update these sound files again! I always answer no as they're already on and as it takes a few minutes to do it! I just checked and I have the latest, so what's the point?
Yes the new sound files are a lot louder. |

Any news on this? I've updated with SP1, but can't find any information about new voice files. Are they included in the Service Pack? |

Windy,
The new voice files are subsequent to the SP1 update.
Follow the advice given by Alberta and then click on update ICN and all will become a little louder !! |

Aye, I did what he/she suggested and I'm only presented wth the page to download the Pathcer.exe program and the details for SP1. No mention of voice files, which I definitely haven't already installed! |

Windy I also get routed to the same page on the Navman site and there is no option to download new voice files. Perhaps someone who has downloaded the sound files could cut/paste and post the the Navman web page link they are using.
Thanks

Once patcher80.exe has been installed and your SmartST desktop has been upgraded as well as your icn 530, shut down SmartST and restart it. When it syncs with your icn 530 an automatic panel should pop up to update the ICN which you should accept and the voices are updated as well.
If you don't get the message try just clicking on SETUP - UPDATE SOFTWARE - UPDATE SOFTWARE ON ICN. _________________ TTG 720

There is no noticeable increase in sound volume by updating from the Navman site. This is how urban myths start - someone says there is and then everyone hears them louder. Someone checked with Navman to have this confirmed - see http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=208359&page=9 for discussion. And please let's stick only to reliable info on this site!
