I have used the POI convertor to combine all the filling stations and all the supermarkets into two large POI databases. However, not surprisingly there are a number of duplicate entries. Is it possible to view the lists on a PC to make it easy to delete the duplicated entries? It's a bit fiddly and slow doing it on the actual TT! 
Any help appreciated

yes you can if you use poi edit you can convert the ov2 to .csv file and then open and edit it in excel

Have a look at POIManager on Oldie's site. From the description, it seems to do what you want.

Absolutely brilliant! :D :D Such an easy and very useful program - over 9000 petrol stations reduced to around 5000 - a big difference indeed!
