Just bought a garmin i3, got it home, set it up and was working fine. I then went onto the garmin site to install the poi software then i waent to to see if there was a software update.
I downloaded the webupdater, it said there was an update so I started to update software. It said it would take 15 mins so left it for a few mins. I got back to it and the satnav screen was saying syatem software missig. I now cant update the software or anything....any ideas??????

Welcome to the forum Sharkster

First try with your I3 swiched off Exclamation

Press and hold left button, press and hold thumbwheel and finaly press and hold right button (all buttons pressed down together at this point)
Message will come about resetting answer yes.

Has this sorted the unit out Question

If still not working download the following fimware which is know to be bug free and working on all units. http://www.gpsinformation.org/perry/streetpilot/sp_ix/StreetPiloti2_270.exe
Unzip and from the folder with your I3 powered on /usb connected select loader the firmware will load into your I3 and hopefully normal service will be resumed Thumbs Up

In both options you will have to set up the unit as it will have returned to factory settings.

sorry pointed you to the wrong firmware (its probably the same but for accuracy)
