if you want to get it form pcworld then your looking at tomtom 5 ive used it there is a free brige heights database but not much in the way of weight limits also it will warn you about it. it wont automaticly avoid it a bridge
try to use it as moving map with voice intructions and check your route before you follow it usually you will havet to put in a way point to force the routing. if you dont really need a pda then look at a tomtom one ot go510 the 510 has newer maps and will act as a hands free kit

also have a look at the nuvi 350 as well and treat it in the same way

basiclly these devices are designed for cars not us if theres a weight limit and you go down it the excuse the nav said go down there wont get you off

With regards to which is best, a PDA based sat sav or something like a TT Go, it is all a matter of personal choice. TT Navigator on a PDA works in exactly the same manner as TT Go. The difference is if you have a need for a PDA. I have been using a PDA based system for about three years and it suits me.

Another option, depending on your requirements is to have a PDA phone I have just had a free upgrade to an o2 XDA Mini S, so now have my phone and PDA in one unit. It's all a lot neater - esp using the TT Bluetooth GPS.

Hope this helps, let us know what you buy!
