I have been a fan of Route 66 for a while and particularly so since I bought my Upgrade to Ver 7 Navigator running on a Mio 168.

I am wondering whether anyone can suggest how to replace the so-called acoustic warning - it really is ughhhh Crying or Very sad The idea is good but I would like a different noise - even the cow from TT would be better!!

That noise is rolled into one single file containing lots of other sounds, you would need to split it to extract/ swap the individual file, I have tried but with no success as yet, you could try running with the units alarm speed - Alarm Type set to Visible Alarm, rather than Acoustic or Both - Mike

Go to http://www.tomtomsatnav.info/realvoice.html and download the .ogg files at the bottom of the page. In the "Speech" folder on your SD Card, the should be another folder "POI", place the .ogg files in there and the asscociate the speed camera to the appropriate voice prompt.
Best of luck!

Thanks for that. I have already done that and added the verbals to the various cameras etc. but this is a separate warning for exceeding a maximum speed eg. 80mph
