I have a Tom Tom One which has worked ok for about 2 Months, lately it is taking longer and longer to lock on to the sats. If I go into the sat screen it will show the bars receiving the signal in grey, but the sats are in a line from the centre to North, it often takes 30 mins to sort itself out.
Pressing reset sometimes works however mostly it returns to the same state.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I am having the same problem - worked fine for 2 months & now can not find signal easily. I have updated to 5.450 but this has not solved the problem.
It can locate sats but struggles to lock on (turn blue)
Any ideas, could it be a hardware problem?

I had same problem with a 910, it would find the sats but would not lock on but as it was brand new I got it replaced, the new 910 works fine. So it could be a hardware fault. _________________ TomTom Go 910 (3) v.6.522 Map Western Europe v.650 with useless TMC receiver

Ditto. I had the same problem with my first TT ONE. Took an age to find and lock onto the signal then would lose the satellites at the drop of a hat. Couldn't complete a journey with it so I took it back and had it replaced - new one works a treat. Picks up the signal usually within about 10-15 secs and once locked on i've not known it to lose a fix. It does sound like a common problem which i'm sure Tomtom must be aware of. |
