text to speech from maps on SD?

Hi Guys,

Looking for a new sat nav system and like the nuvi 360 and streetpilot c550 for their bluetooth and text to speech functions.

BUT, the nuvi 360 is double the price of the 300, and I could live without bluetooth.. 300 is £250 , 360 is £500. Text to speech would be nice.

I don't need maps of the whole of the EU or north america, which I guess is what justifies the main increase of the price.. I already have city navigator v8 europe at work, and I have 1 spare unlock code. and have north america v8 on pre-order order.

Will text to speech work with maps that are on the SD card, or is it only for pre-loaded maps? I don't think I'll spend all that extra money on the 360 for text to speech if when I put the north america on an sd card the text to speech doesn't work.

garmin seem to be snowed under by emails, no reply to my questions!

Even if the answer is positive I think I'll still go for the 300 as the price difference is huge, and as I said .. I already have the maps.
