Is there a way I can turn Favourites into POIs from within TT5.21 without using any TPI software?
Cheers |

Yes.
In Manage POI you need to create a new POI category. Give it a name and select a bitmap.
In Browse Map, Find, Favourite, select your first entry. The map cursor will display the location.
Then tap the Cursor Icon at the bottom of screen, and select Add as POI, select your new category. If you want to keep the original text just press Done.
Do the same for all your Favourites.
You now have a POI of all your Favourites, which you can add even more to, and transfer from Device to Device and, more importantly, Backup.;) _________________ Richard

Thanks for that. Seems rather long-winded, but it works!

Seems long winded, but you will be glad you have done it when your pda loses its favourites. |

There is a limit of how many Categories TomTom will recognise. I believe it is 39 in TTN5.
Have you exceeded this limit? _________________ Richard

It's not the number of ticked POI's that are counted, but the total number loaded on the Device.
It is the number that you add yourself to check. Don't count those that are pre-installed.;) _________________ Richard

Hi Junger
I was interested in adding phone numbers to my POI's can you give a little guidance for an absolute beginner?
Thanks |
