Remote control problem

Hi,

There is a known fault with the remote control on the new TomTom 910. This was confirmed by TomTom themselves when I called them about this problem a few days ago. They said that a software fix is going to be released.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Switch on TomTom and start using the remote. After a while, the remote has no response. Switch off TomTom. Switch it on again. The remote comes active again. After a while it stops working.

That's the main reason why my (third!!) 910 went back and I've reverted to the 700. Didn't want to keep stopping to let the remote get itself back to life.
I found that it ran for about 2 hours, then stopped. Sometimes it came back to life after switch off, other times it would be hours before it revived. It wasn't the remote control hardware itself - I have a spare remote control unit and found that using the second one made no difference.
The touchscreen on the windscreen is fine if you have ape length arms!
