A couple of questions for the Quest 1
Which GPS mode is better and why, Normal or WAAS/EGNOS ?
Also when I view "My Locations" and sort them via "nearest" then my waypoints in Germany don't appear on the list but do in "Find by name"?
I have the relevant map segments loaded, is there a distance limitation to nearest?

Thanks

Normal is the best mode, since EGNOS is still in test. And nearest indeed only lists nearby waypoints, stopping at 25 to 50 kilomters.

Hey Robert, does EGNOS work on your Quest? On mine it sees sat 37 but never locks on.

It has worked in the past though... Confused

I had EGNOS work on my Quest 1 (but never tried on my Quest 2), even with those little D's and an accuracy of 1 meter. ;) But since it is in test and I don;t really need it it's always been off on my Quest 2.

BTW, it's normal that the EGNOS bird(s) never turn solid, since they aren't real GPS sat's and only transmit corrections. Just watch for the d's, which may take a while.

If that is the case why has Sat 33 started to turns solid ( only in recent weeks)on both my Garmin units. I can also pickup Sat 37 but that stays hollow Confused
