Hi All,
I'm sure like a lot of others, I bought a so called version 7 only to have a version 6 arrive because Garmin had runout of 7's, my supplier told me to register for version 8, I really do hope the mak a lot of copies of 8 as there's going to be a long que of people.
Cheers
Ian

hi all just had this from garmin:
In regard to your email, there has been no cut-off date announced. Therefore
I cannot tell you if you were to purchase the software today, that you would
be entitled to a free update. There is usually a month period for the
cut-off date, where-by if you purchase within a month of the update being
released, you would be entitled to a free update. I would be inclined to
suggest to either purchase early to mid March or register late. |

Staright from the horses mouth as they say ! That kicks any idea of registering late being dishonest out the window then doesn't it! |

The Navigator8 disc will be a upgrade that requires a previous version of Mapsouce to be installed.
So you will need to install the original disc. |

When in mapsource, make sure you have selected CN V8 as opposed to CS V6 in the box near the top left hand corner. Then select what maps you want to download to the quest. |

If the drop down box is saying CN V8 and there is no map, then either the installation is dodgy or the map is locked.
I'd try re-installing it if I were you. |

On the Quest go - settings - Map Info - and ensure you have ticked City Navigator Europe v8 (there are instructions also at bottom of page) |

I was told by Garmin that City Navagator 8 replaces City Select and that there will be no Select V8 _________________ Garmin Quest|Ram Mount|Yamaha TDM900
