Hi,

I currantly have a an icn 650, but when I saw the 550 with traffick master for £449 I decided to up grade. I havent decided what to do with the 650 as yet but what I was wondering is SmartST Desktop specific to each model. I should point out that I did upgrade the software and maps recently.
So do I have to install the SmartST Desktop that came with the icn 550 or can I run both off the one program?

Any thoughts much appreciated.
Regards

Adrian Confused

Yes, the Navman Desktop is device specific.

Hi Tim.

Are you sure about that?
I have updated the old free camera databases in the past, on my own and a mates 520 and my brother's 510, all using the version on my PC. :D

Mmmm! I think that the 510 & 520 use the same Desktop but the other devices in the Navman stable are device specific.

Hi Gee-Pee

Thanks for clarifying that.
Maybe we should use the words 'model specific' instead of 'device specific'.
Might be me, but I took a 'device' to be 1 single unit. Embarassed
