Extra Map Files - Why So Big?

I'm running TTM 5.0 on an SPV C500.

I want to purchase a map of France for a trip at Easter, but looking at the Tom Tom site shows I need to download a file of over 200Mb, whereas the GB Map with the Tom Tom software came on a 128Mb card which I transferred onto my own larger capacity card.

I dont have 200Mb of space free on my card, so what are my options?

You could purchase a new 256MB SD Card with France already installed, or get an even larger, 512 MB, SD Card and put both Maps on the same Card.

Of course if you wanted to use another Map in the future, you would have to do the same thing all over again. Go for a 1GB, they are relative cheap at the moment.;)
