TomTom 700 in Peugeot 406

I have just installed the perm docking station for a TomTm 700 installed in a 406 coupe and get really bad feedback. My main issues is the volume is really laud and can't be turned down. Any suggestions on this?

Also the night mode does not seem to work, but I have also heard that there's a nifty piece of software that switches to night mode based on the TomTom clock and GPS position. Does anyone know where I can get this? Thanks

I have the docking kit and the volume is adjustable, as usual, on the 700's screen. What happens when you try to adjust the volume on screen?

I would like to know about the change to night mode based on the time as the auto night mode when the headlights are on screws up so often that I have turned it off.

Is the auto night mode enabled in the menus?
