refurbished HP rz1710 PDA £115
Custom mounting kit £25
(srf3 hi-quality gps)£69
sd with tomtom5 on 512mb £30
£239

---------------

tomtom one £250 ish with a srf3 gps

I need to know whether the rz1710 will be loud enough or wheher it will need an amplified silver shield from pdamods. I don't have any need for a pda so would you guys recommend an all in one?. All i've read about the tomtom 1 has a very good gps and it's customizable with the speed cameras + is it possible to buy a 1gig sd card for it ? Is there still any reason to buy a set of separates if you don't need a pda? I'm wondering where tomtom will try and make their money... is the 1 locked down at all?

You can't buy a legitimate version of TT5 on an SD card for £30.

If you don't want PDA functions I'd definitely go for a TT One. The reports I've read suggest that it would be louder than the PDA option.
