PC World doing the Quest 1 for £199.............thats £130 less than I paid in May 8O

Saw it yesterday in PC World Edinburgh, didn't ask about stocks, just saw the advertising placard

I got mine in Dixons in St Albans for £199, I knew they had some on their web site but they were all out of stock. So I had a look in a store on the off chance. I ripped the guys arms off.

They must have brought a job lot and distributed them around their stores. So they are out there.

The quest is ideal on my K100. I mounted using the Garmin Motorcycle mount and a RAM mount. Its powered from the power socket on the pad between the handlebars and I use a little fm transmitter which fits into the fairing power socket to pipe the directions into the radio. So I can choose to hear them or not.

It came pre loaded with City select Europe V6 (UK and Ireland) and the full europe cd's I foolishly regeistered as soon as I got it home so I got sent the V7 update. reading the forum I should have waited to upgrade to V8.

I was enquiring about the Quest at PCWorld in Hull (Clough Rd) this afternoon and was informed by the salesman they had a customer returned one in stock and was being sold at just under £200.

Latest rumours: there will be no CS 8, but only CN 8. And CN is always announces around newyearsday. So, a couple of weeks to wait...
