how do I cancel a route using tomtom Nav

This might be a dumb question but I've not figured out how to cancel a route once calculated using tomtom navigator 2.

Drop to the Map screen, then tap TOOLS | CLEAR ROUTE.

Or in Navigator Mode, bring up the menu and cycle through the screens till you see the 'Stop Navigation' Icon. Selecting this also clears the route.

I've been using Tom Tom for a couple of months now, but did not know about the Stop Navigation method of clear route. I just wonder what other undiscovered gems there are in Tom Tom.

I agree with Alan, I've never seen nor knew about the "Stop Navigation" method either.



One small problem, I can't see it. Where is the icon. I'm currently in the office, so I'm using TTN2 in "Demo mode". Would this affect what I see?

There was a stop navigation button, but I can no longer find it, it looks like it may have been removed at some stage. It's not in the custom menu section.

Turn Guidance Off is probably what you're looking for.



I find it so invaluable, I have it on a hardware button. That way, if I decide to pull into a motorway service station, I can press the button, and not have Navigator try to route me back to the motorway (instead of into the car park)!
