Estimated Journey Times

I agree that TT5 seems to produce fairly accurate timings although occasionally produces bizarre figures.
Over the last few weeks I have made several journeys of 150 miles or more and following TT's route have always arrived within 5-10 minutes of the initial arrival time given.
When I used to try and change speeds in TT3 I invariably ended up with far more innacurate timings - unless you can change speeds for specific stretches it will never work and if you know the roads well enough to do that you don't really need satnav anyway!

My experience in the Western USA (and outside the cities) is TT5 uses speeds about 10-15 mph under the speed limit, while most traffic is moving 5-10 mph over the speed limit; consequently, the estimated times can be hours off for a day long trip. In the cities, traffic conditions make any selected speed just a guess, anyway. So, for me, the estimated times have no value at all. TT5 is better than TT4 in this respect, so perhaps TT or TA is improving!
