Does anyone know whether the annoying issue with the SmartST v3 software, whereby upon approach to a roundabout, the road name/number displayed in the navigator bar at the top of the screen just showed the road name/number you're already on, rather than displaying the road name/number you are exiting onto, has been fixed in SmartST 2005?
Navman neither understood nor could answer me (despite saying in the past that they knew about the problem), so if any of you guys know, it'd be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Russ. |

|
|
I'm just about to place my order to upgrade with the £29 option, but am faced with a delivery charge ?
I've made the assuption, without proceeding further as yet, that this update must be on a CD then.
Can anyone confirm, just this day and age I was expecting an instant download...........it is 2005 after all.
Shame on NAVMAN if this is the case. _________________ HTC Desire HD & CamerAlert

i had the 2005 version and found it to be buggy and slow to operate, like few navman products i have owned, i always feel there has been a "rushed out onto the shelves" feel about it and in essence they arent worthy of consideration - save your cash |

Interestingly, after I had a moan at Navman, they responded with an e-mail yesterday stating that 'Service Pack 1' will be available for SmartST 2005 within the next couple of weeks.
Worth looking out for... |

Did they say what was in it? I'm wondering if any issues with the 510 may also be addressed with another SP for that one. |

No, I'm afraid they a bit vague and simply said "Known issues which have been discovered with SmartST 2005 and routing problems will be addressed"
What's also interesting is: When I contacted Navman about a month ago regarding a few issues I had with SmartST V3 on my iCN 510 and asked whether there would be another service pack for V3, they told me to update to SmartST 2005 as they will only be releasing service packs for that from now on.
So, bloody cheeky that they're asking £35 (inc. Postage) for the upgrade, when they won't be supplying patches for V3 anymore! |
