Your advice is appreciated. I'll await to see if Yakumo collect and manage to rectify the problem first before trying anything else. I don't want to risk voiding any warranty just yet. I'll keep you posted, but it may be while before I get the unit back once collected. Hopefully if it is sorted, they will give an explanation. Seems odd that a hard reset would do this, but having spoken to the UK authorised distributor, they too have had similar cases and have had to return units to Germany for attention.
Keep up the stirling work. Seems odd that the same PDA albeit re-branded has different ROM etc installed. _________________ Pirate! |

just my 2pence worth but doesnt the serial link need to run at 9600 baud ? |

My machine gave same problem. Go into TOMTOM configuration. The type of GPS on mine was de-selected. Just select the device type (blue tooth or wired) hey presto! Hope this is the same for you. |
