For the first time I can say that tt5 really let me down Embarassed

On a long motorcycle ride, it worked perfectly for about 100 miles. After a stop, returned to the bike to find a SDK error notification on the screen. The exact message was: comms-> NrReceiveFields () >0.

Hitting the ok tab brings up a HandleCommand message - no fields in command.

Even a soft reset won't get rid of it. Unserneath this was the map of my home address and not where I actually was.

For the record: Ipaq hx2110 running tt5.1 with the latest version of checkpoint running. I was using the itineary with a route uploaded from Autoroute.

Any help with the cause and how to cure it would be most welcome.

Sort of got round it under my own steam. After a search on the internet using the error code (only foreign sites came up though), I noticed they all mentioned Checkpoint. A reinstallation of Checkpoint from my computer got it up and running again.

Prior to reading your reply, I had tried a restore on the registry and tt5 with no luck. Unfortunately I can't remember if I tried a restore for Checkpoint.

As I'm relying on Tom Tom quite a lot for long trips, I'll think I'll keep my Loox600 that was going to end up on ebay in reserve. Just in case of any further diasters!
