Looking for a unit with no mess tins?

TomTom Go 300 full postcode touch screen all you need at a great price. If you have the money the TomTom Go 700 is a must with full European maps and wireless connectivity to your phone (hands Free)…….

TomTom 1710 HP PDA Bundle – On a budget does not get much cheaper. Would recommend with any PDA based system at least 256Mb for loading on full maps.

Navman iCN 510 In-car GPS Doesn’t get much better for cost and functionality. Excellent voice commands. Points of interest can let it down. Takes the excellent Speed Camera database that pocket GPS provide

Garmin Quest (V7) Best unit for price and all round functionality Bike, Car & Boat. 20 hours on the battery comes preloaded ready to go. Great Mounting options and massive Garmin PIO database.

Garmin StreetPilot C330 Let's keep this simple! Full Europen coverage ready to go out of the box and Garmin have the best points of intrest out there. Best priced unit to cover Europe.

Garmin Streetpilot 2620 still going well great hardware “never goes wrong” always gets you from a to b.

Navman iCN 650 In-car GPS One of the years best selling units to cover Europe with built in hard drive. Navman have the best support buy far and always sways me to buy Navman. Takes the excellent Speed Camera database that pockek GPS provide…

Navman iCN 635 European Deluxe On a budget and can’t afford the 650 then the 635 cover the UK, you can always upgrade the maps to Europe at a later date. Again Navman have excellent support. Takes the excellent Speed Camera database that pockek GPS provide

Pioneer AVIC-X1R As far as built in units go it does not get any better. Conveniently sized in a 1-DIN unit, the AVIC-X1R gives users the best of mobile navigation with maximum attention to flexibility, practicality and performance, with full multimedia DVD, MP3 and movies.

LAPTOP GPS InfoMap Navigator Europe + GPS Receiver USB Turn your laptop into full voice and postcode search for only £99.

Feel free to ask me any questions and I will try and point you in the correct direction. Mainly im a bike and speed camera specialist but can give you good common sense advice and have no loyalties to many manufactures when it comes to Sat Nav

Hi Numpty - bit of a quandry. I want a pda that I can use in the car, walking & cycling for satnav and basic office tasks. I want built in wi-fi for easy sync with my home network, i want (but realise I probably can't have) a built-in gps receiver. I want good mapping software, ideally with full postcode entry.

Reading reviews etc it looks like I may have to go for a bluetooth receiver if I want a pda with Wi-Fi. Any thoughts or recommendations? Many thanks

The cheap option at the moment is the Navman Pin 570 Pocket PC
This is not wifi or bluetooth but for £249.99 its as good as it gets with built in GPS and mapping. I would sync with USB cable that comes with it. Normally you get a faster sync. Garmin have the M5 with bluetooth, but HP units with WIFI are still a little pricy
