TT5 wants

I want these facilities when towing a caravan but think it would also apply to horseboxes HGVs etc.

To be able to tell TT how fast I can go on each type of road
To tell TT5 to avoid certain types of road when possible
To tell TT5 to avoid a specific road
To route plan either using these criteria or not

As you may notice TT3 did most of the above. Thats progress!!! 8O

Does anyone know another software program that does provide the above facilities?

the limited speed thing is useless - I still can't rely on it not taking me down carttracks so I have to check - and when I do I have no way of ensuring that this road is not routed. The avoid area function in TT3 was much more secure.

I haven't tried all the avoid options yet but again it may just re route me down another cart track!!!

There is quite a lot in the truckers forum about this limited speed option.

Oh aqnd this is without the list of bugs as long as your arm!!!

Youd think there were enough "special use" people needing a fairly similar extra set of functions for someone to produce a set of add on functions or something like that. I would be a customer for 1

the point i try to get across to every one is that tomtom ar only interested in personal ie car only navigation mabe in the next release or if i can get mike and darren to bug them enough and maybe well get some of it back just try limited speed it does work just dont use shortest

OK so if Tomtom don't want us is there anyone else out there who does???

Co pilot seems to have retained the features we have lost in tt. Any thoughts on that or other alternatives?

try alturion that has other profiles cp has routieng issues route 66 i havent used but does have a truck profile which might help
