|

Using Tom Tom 5 on a Nokia 6680 and having a few annoying little problems.
For some unknown reason, despite setting my home to where I actually live, each time I start up the application it defaults back to another location. Anyone know why this is?
Also, some times when I start TT5 the sound is turned off, even though I haven't turned it off when using the application
Finally, TT5 seems unable to save my BT device as the dreffered GPS device. Each time I start the app I have to go to preferences, GPS Device and configure it.
Anyone know why this it? |

The .cfg file in your Map Folder is probably Read-Only. You will need to change it attributes by un-ticking the Read-Only box.
You might have to copy the file to the PC to change it, and then copy the file back. Remove the old file before copying back. _________________ Richard

Hi Oldboy, I'm afraid the .cfg files aren't 'read-only'. Just copied them to my PC to check
Any other ideas what it may be? |

It's not something silly like the write protect switch on the card is it? Especially if it's loose. _________________ Richard

Hi Richard, sorry, I am not sure what you mean by that?
Do you mean a physical switch on the MMC? |

Yes. Some cards have a small slide switch on them. _________________ Richard

That leaves me lost for ideas. Have to do a search around to see if I can find anything. _________________ Richard

I had this problem and what I did was copy the Great britain map off CD to your desktop and take off the read only flag on the folder then copy the map from your desktop to your SD card. It fixed it for me |
