Does anybody know how I can cancel navigation and just show the moving map in TT5. I used to use this feature a lot with TT3 when I just wanted to use checkpoint to warn me of speed cams without planning a route, but I cant find how to do this with TT5 , it appears that I must plan a route to get a map on screen.

Choose:-

>Main menu (2nd page)>Clear Route

Simple as that. Not sure if you still get the POI warnings if you haven't got a route though.

You do get POI warnings. But you need to make sure the warnings are set up so that the option for only warning if the POI is on your route, is unchecked.
