TT5 and Checkpoint

Just been to the Checkpoint website to check out downloading Checkpoint 5. However, the checkpoint website recommends only installing if you have upgraded to TT5.10 otherwise system crashing can occur. I haven't done this yet as the Tom Tom website specifically says not to upgrade unless you are experiencing the following:

If you have been having problems with TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 and the phone functionality of your PDA
If you have been having problems with TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 and 3rd party (non-TomTom) GPS devices
If you have been having problems with devices which have a VGA display (640 x 480 pixels)

I am not experincing any of the above so what should I do. I want checkpoint, but don't want the system crashing every time I use it.

I am running TT5 on an XDA2.

Do a back-up and try it out. I had the same with my PDA, working fine, don't update, but I have now loaded 5.1 and CheckPOInt 5.0.2 and it is still very stable for now. If lock-ups become an issue, I will just reload the back-up files.
