Is anyone using this feature? Im a bit unsure of how its supposed to be used, i originally thought it would be to plan the best route through mulitiple destinations(deliverys) but this doesnt seem to be the case. Once you reach a destination it doesnt seem to automatically take you to the next one on the list either. SO whats the real point of it? is it just to list all the places you need to go? thanks.

Sorry if I've misunderstood - but you need to convert destinations to waypoints, that way TT5 moves onto the next waypoint/destination. If you're using it to just make TT go the way you want it to, you only want the very last point to be the destination. To convert to a waypoint, you press the joystick when the place is highlighted in the list, that brings up a different menu to the options menu.
Hope that helps! Smile

TT Itinerary planning is not capable of planning the best route between multiple destinations(optimization), there is a thread in either TTG or TTN that talks about this feature, TT say it is too dificult to implement such a feature, yet mapopolis and co-pilot offer a optimized stops feature.

When you input all your stops (deliverys) as destinations, Itinerary mode will take you to each destination in the order you place them, you can alter the order as you go, when you reach a destination it will not automatically route you onto the next one, press in the joystick and select it as 'visited' then it will route you to next destination.

When you input all your stops (deliverys) as destinations, if you set the last address as the destination, press in joystick and set all addresses in-between as waypoints when you reach a waypoint you will be automatically routed to next waypoint until you end up at the destination.

What you could do to have the route optimized is calculate it on Microsoft Autoroute, then use the optimized route feature, to get the best order to do your deliverys in, then transfer that data to TT in itinerary mode.

The feature will come in handy for me as i pull a 16' trailer, if i get re-routed due to an accident, and have to go off motorway i can plot a route using my low bridge atlas then input that route as waypoints in itinerary mode, TT's direct quickest route would not take into account the size of the trailer.

It will if you select it as a waypoint rather than a destination.
