TOM TOM 700 HANGING

Just got 700 brilliant NAV used Garmin STREET PILOT before TT700 is way ahead. Downloaded to pc Version 5.2 as unit came with 5.00 after loading TT700 would not power up no green light blank screen, only when charger was in would it light but would not boot. Although I had backed up TT700 hard drive could not get it to power up to restore thought I had wiprd hard drive by mistake. I dont know how long it was in this state as it was late in the evening the following morning all was fine had loaded Ver 5.2. Thought I would mention this before other userers went looking for an RMA from Tom Tom like I did. Hope I have assumed that this was the reason for unit hanging unless you can tell me different.

There have been a few reports of the 700 and 500 hanging on first use and on startup after a software upgrade. A reset (paperclip in hole in base) usually seems to fix it.
