cpt_berns,

Managed to get to the demos and they sound great, I can't access the links to the complete files, have they been removed ? I totally understand your point of view, if some idiot is exploiting all your hard work. If they are available, however, could you let me know ?

Many thanks (either way).

Try adding these files to either your TTG root or the "Voices" directory (the same directory where you put the .chk files).

http://users.telenet.be/berns/TomTom/data92.bmp
http://users.telenet.be/berns/TomTom/data92.vif

http://users.telenet.be/berns/TomTom/data98.bmp
http://users.telenet.be/berns/TomTom/data98.vif

Then it should work.

I know this is a bit of silly request but does anyone have the bmp files for Yoda and Vadar Question

If you want pictures to appear when choosing a voice rather than trying to remember what 'Special 36' was (or listening to the test) then you just need to create a bitmap image size 160x160 pixels. This can be whatever you want as long as you name it "data**.bmp" where the ** are the same numbers as the data**.chk voice file. I have done this for Yoda, Darth Vader and a crossed out Speaker for the silent voice option. If anybody wants these then let me know and I will e-mail them, they are only about 75Kb each in size. Wink

Cpt_Berns

I am sorry to hear that some scumbag has been trying to profit from your hard work on Ebay & it is sad that you had to remove the voices from the net.

I still managed to get them at last from another source and would like to say they are excellent especially the yoda voice which is exceptional.

I do hope that the thieving gits do not deter you from keeping up your excellent work.

Many Thanks

from Jimbo

I have successfully loaded some new voice files on my TTG and made suitable picture to identify the voice.
My problem is that unlike the Yoda and Darth Vader pics, my pics appear but with the names of the foreign voices at the bottom of the pic, ie Lisa Deutsch and Antonio Espanol etc.
What files do I need to remove/add to get rid of these foreign names leaving just my pic?

Cheers
Steve

You may have got the data**.chk and data**.bmp files mixed up. This would cause the wrong picture to be displayed with one of the pre-installed voices. Ensure that the ** number is the same for the voice and the picture that you want displayed (and different from the pre-installed ones).

From looking at a recent back-up of my voice file 04 & 05 are Jane and Tim but which is which I don't know, 92 is Yoda and 98 is Darth Vader.

If unsure you could backup each to your computer and then delete on the TT and then re-install one by one to identify each.

I have now allocated my voice file to a number not on the above list ie 99 and the foreign name has now gone and another name 'special 39' has appeared.
Is there any way that I can rename this to say something else?
Cheers for all your help so far!

regards
Steve
