Hi there sorry to trouble you guys but im a newbie to this, am having problems getting my xda working with tom tom 5 and the tom tom diamond cable gps receiver its just coming up with no gps device. I have had a look on the forums and found that i was supposed to have i beleive tom tom gps on there to set up the reciever but have also tried that and i get the same in fact the gps app wont see the device either. However this was working fine with tom tom 3 a couple of months ago. Help any ideas please its driving me bonkers !!

start>settings>connections>connections>beam>uncheck "receive all in coming beaams

Hi There,

Go the settings menu then connections and select Beam, no make sure the box that says receive all coming beams is unchecked, if this is selected the serial port will be blocked.

TomTom 3 would warn you that it couldn't communicate with the receiver but version 5 will just sit there saying there is no gps device connected.
