Ditto same question plus how much dopes it cost to use the GPRS system?

My provider T-Moble quotes .75p per 1Kb downloaded. So, how big are the downloads and how often does TomTom traffic grab them please?

I will not be able tpo anmswer all, but ....

1. The 2210 can talk to the BT GTPS receiver and the phone at the same time. No problems. I do it all the time with a BT 338 and a Moto V3 using it for traffic.

2. You need to download the settings to allow your phone to access the internet. You get this from your provider - if you go to their website e.g. O2 then you fill in your phone number and it sends the settings to you in a text. Open the text and it is all installed automatically. Then you need to pair your phone with your 2210 in the same way as you did your GPS. Open any of the TT plus options in TT5 and you will mnow very soon if you have got it right.

3. The data transfer is very small. Search for other threads or simply scroll down to see that this has been discussed over and over again. Basically you a) tell TT how often you want it to connect b) it only downloads that fact that there is a traffic issue - you only download the details if you want to see it on a map yourself. The short download is all TT needs to re-route, etc. I allow TT to connect as often as it wants and I haven't noticed the differecne on my mobile bill.

Hope this helps.

Just a word of caution if you are changing providers. It will NOT work with the three network.
Cheers
