|
|
Here you will find links to ways to customise your Tomtom 5
Menus
--------
The link below will take you to a website that has a online custom menu maker form tomtom.
http://www.skux.net/tomtom/menubuilder/index.php
Change the language in the top left, follow the instrustions on the page, save the file to your pc.
make a sub folder in the tomtom folder called SDKRegistry on your pda then copy the file made above into that folder. you now have custom menus in tt5.
Maps.
-------
to link below will take you to a website were you can download a program that you can use to make custom TT5 colour schemes.
http://cse.jgeertsma.com/downloads.php?lang=english
load up the program, make a colour a scheme to your liking then copy the created file to your pda sd card under a SCHEMES folder.
Custom POI Sounds
-----------------------
Go to the site below and download any of the sound files and then copy the file to your tomtom folder on your pda, replacing the data.chk file with the one downloaded.
http://www.rayflanagan.co.uk/page7.html
the above website is a very good source of poi sounds, icons and links etc.
I will update this page as and when new stuff come out.
I would like to thank all the people who i have used in these links for there great effort in making tomtom more usable etc.
comments welcome etc |

you need to made a dir in your tomtom dir as follows
SDKRegistry
so it should be
\Tomtom\SDKRegistry
then the file goes into this dir, it should then work |

Hmm, yes I'm having the same issue - created the file, saved it in TomTom/SDKRegistry on my CF card, no joy
Any other tips? I'd love to get this working.
Thanks,
Mark |

create on your desktop the SDKRegistry folder and place inside the folder your custom TomTom.mnu file
1, connect your pda via active sync
2, click explore on active sync window
3, on the window that opens you should see "TomTom" folder
4, open the folder and drag and drop your "SDKRegistry" folder that contains the TomTom.mnu file from your desktop into the TomTom window. _________________ iPhone 3Gs 32GB

I love the idea of the colour styloe editor, and it works well. However, my life would be so much easier if someone could post the existing Britannica colour style. I only want to tweak it a bit and it would really help. |
